So you’ve booked your trip with Finseekers Fishing Charters—congratulations! You’re one step closer to landing a trophy fish in the beautiful waters of Clearwater Beach.
As you get ready for your day on the water with Capt. Mason, we want to make sure you’re prepared for the best experience possible. Here is our "Local’s Guide" on what to pack, what to wear, and what you can leave in the hotel room.

1. The "70-Degree Rule" (Crucial Weather Tip!)
Clearwater is famous for its sunshine, but the water is a different world.
If the forecast is under 70°F: Bring a jacket or a windbreaker. Even if it feels warm on the beach, the combination of wind chill while the boat is moving and the coastal humidity makes the air feel much colder on the water. We want you fighting fish, not the shivers!
2. Gear Up for the Sunshine
When the Florida sun is out, protection is key. We recommend:
Sunglasses and polarized if you own them! : These aren't just for style—they help you see through the water's surface to spot the fish!
Hats: A baseball cap or a wide-brimmed hat is a great way to stay cool and keep the sun out of your eyes.
Footwear: In the warmer months, flip-flops are totally fine. We take pride in keeping the boat spotless and "deck-ready" for your comfort but sneakers are fine as well.
3. Food & Drinks
We provide the cooler space and ice! All you need to bring is:
Snacks & Drinks: Whatever your group likes to munch on.
Alcohol Policy: Adult beverages are perfectly fine! Feel free to bring beer, seltzers, or similar drinks.
Pro-Tip: Please avoid bringing glass bottles if possible; cans and plastic are much safer on a moving boat.
4. What You Don't Need to Bring (We’ve Got You Covered!)
At Finseekers, we believe you should focus on the fishing while we handle the logistics. Your trip price includes:
Fishing Licenses: Every passenger on the boat is fully covered under our commercial license.
Top-Tier Gear: We provide all bait, tackle, rods, and reels.
The "Catch" Logistics: We provide ice to keep your catch fresh during the trip.
Filleting Service: After we get back to the dock, Capt. Mason will fillet your catch for you and provide Ziplock bags so your dinner is ready for the pan or a local "Cook Your Catch" restaurant!
